How to Add a Classified Advertisement

In order to add anything to Cowboy Classifieds, you must first be registered as a user. If you are registered, you will need to login in order to access your advertisements, events or business service listings.

Once you are logged in, go to the Create Classified section of the site. Once there, select the category in which you would like to place your advertisement. After you arrive at the category you selected, you will notice that there is a link in the centre column prompting you to [Place Ad]. When you click this link you are taken to a form where you will fill out the information for your Classified Ad. Each part of the form has an explanation of what is required for your advertisement.

The Classified Ad is free, For free Cowboy Classifieds provides you with space for up to 5 images to enhance your advertisement, and the length that your Classified Ad will appear in the site is for 60 days. 5 days before your classified expires you will receive a notification from CowboyClassifieds. If you wish to renewal your classified, we provide you with a link to do so and your renewal is Free.

How to add a Business Service Listing

Once you are logged in, go to the Create Business Listing section of the site. Once there, select the category in which you would like to place your business listing. After you arrive at the category you selected, you will notice that there is a link in the centre column prompting you to [Add Listing]. When you click this link you are taken to a form where you will fill out the information for your Business Listing. Each part of the form has an explanation of what is required for your listing, and once you have added your listing, it is there for a year.

you can add your company logo / Image to your listing and your URL link to your own website. For the best logo display results,, please size your logo to the specified dimensions listed in the form.

How to add an Event

Once you are logged in, go to the Create Event section of the site. Once there, select the category in which you would like to place your Event. After you arrive at the category you selected, you will notice that there is a link in the centre column below the calendar display prompting you to [Add Event]. When you click this link you are taken to a form where you will fill out the information for your Event. Each part of the form has an explanation of what is required for your event. Once your event is purchased and in the site, it will be there for everyone to see.

If your event is considered a Charity Event, contact Cowboy Classifieds regarding the purpose of the event and whether it qualifies to waive the event advertising fee.

Once the basic information is complete, enter the start and end dates of your event. Within each event purchased you can load your Event Logo / Image, Your Event Poster, 2 Event Images / Pictures, as well the URL link to your Event Website. Our Event section also has the functionality to be edited with a notification box that will flag your event with a symbol beside your event listing title indicating that there has been a change,, ie: A date change,, cancellation,, re-scheduled date,, etc, etc.

Resetting Your Password

If you forget your login password, use the password reset link on the login page. You will be prompted for your email address. Once you submit your email address a temporary password will be assigned and sent to that email address. Using that temporary password you will be able to login to your profile.

Once you have logged in, go to the link to [Edit Your Profile]. At the bottom of the Edit Your Profile form you will be able to change and replace your temporary password to something more personal.
